Kong was a Hardcore project from Chico, California formed by Ryan Duke, Joshua Emery and Tommy Ghiorso in Winter of 2013. Kong was an example of primitive anger and destruction. Most shows ended, not because the set ended, but because the band had destroyed their instruments. Sets were conceived of breaking guitars, throwing drums, heavy improvisations and circle pits as soon as feedback started. Kong played around 10 shows in Chico and Redding through early to mid 2014. These songs were recorded in the Basement of 374 E. 9th Street where the members lived and is a testament to the noise they created and passion they exhumed.
